Boutique Recruiting is seeking a Legal Billing Manager to lead end-to-end billing operations in a fully remote environment in the United States. Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal billing experience in insurance defense or litigation.
• Strong e-billing expertise and familiarity with carrier requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables.
• Ability to manage a high-volume monthly billing cycle (approx. 2,000 invoices).

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end legal billing process for insurance defense and litigation matters (≈2,000–2,200 invoices per cycle).
• Prepare, review, and submit monthly client invoices and electronic bills per client requirements.
• Review time entries, expenses, adjustments and write-offs for accuracy.
• Enforce carrier billing guidelines, budgets and client-specific requirements.
• Monitor and resolve billing rejections and other e-billing issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys, clients and carriers to resolve billing questions.
• Track accounts receivable and generation of management reports on realization and aging.
• Improve procedures to increase accuracy and collections.
• Support billing questions related to litigation budgets and estimates.
• Supervise and train billing staff while maintaining confidential records.
