Job summary

Aflac is seeking a remote Absence Management professional to handle leave of absence processes under FMLA governing the programs. You will guide associates, administer documentation, and provide timely updates to management while ensuring compliance and quality service.

Required are strong customer service, excellent communication, and knowledge of FMLA/ADA regulations. The role emphasizes independent remote work, collaboration with the team, and a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Current knowledge absence management industry.
• Ability to work remotely independently while engaging with the team.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to manage difficult situations.

Responsibilities

• Maintains genuine caring and empathetic customer service.
• Assists associates with leave of absence requests and guides them through the process.
• Processes all leave of absence paperwork according to procedures and laws.
• Provides timely responses to associates and management.
• Administers the FMLA policy and reviews documentation.
• Makes recommendations to approve/deny FMLA requests based on regulations.
• Coordinates correspondence and documents via the claim system.
• Generates reports and maintains files and data.
