Job summary

Aflac is seeking a remote Absence Management Specialist who can navigate FMLA/ADA regulations and deliver compassionate service to claimants and employers. You will manage leave of absence paperwork, coordinate communications, and ensure compliance.

Working from a home office anywhere in the continental US, you will collaborate with teams, generate reports, and support policy administration, benefits processing, and regulatory guidance.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of absence management regulations (FMLA/ADA) and related policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to handle sensitive information.
• Prior experience in a remote or distributed work environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a high level of genuine care and empathetic customer service in all interactions.
• Assists associates with leave of absence requests and guides them through the process.
• Processes leave of absence paperwork according to laws and procedures.
• Provides timely responses to associates and management on day-to-day issues.
• Administers the FMLA policy; reviews documentation for accuracy.
• Coordinates correspondence and documents via the claim system; generates reports.
