Job summary

Cable One is seeking a qualified Lease Accountant to manage ASC 842 lease accounting, maintain schedules, and support audits across our corporate finance function. This role offers remote options for qualified candidates in listed states and requires about a year of GL experience in a relevant setting.

As part of the Cable One family, you will engage with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and adherence to evolving accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least 1 year of practical general ledger accounting experience, preferably in a public or corporate setting.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops detailed understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes, stakeholders, systems and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects as requested by leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC and PCAOB standards impacting accounting practices.
