Job summary

Cable One is seeking a lease accounting professional to manage ASC 842 schedules and related reporting. You will collaborate across finance teams, understand the end-to-end lease accounting process, and ensure accurate journal entries.

The role requires a degree in accounting with practical GL experience and a proactive approach to accounting standards such as FASB and SOX compliance. Remote options are available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least 1 year of general ledger experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting preferred.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops a detailed understanding of the end-to-end lease accounting process, stakeholders, systems and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC and PCAOB standards and applies their impact.
