Job summary

Cable One is seeking an accounting professional to manage lease accounting under ASC 842 and maintain general ledger activities. You will support audits, prepare analyses and journal entries, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting across the lease portfolio.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least one year of GL experience, with preferred familiarity in lease accounting and internal controls. Remote work options available for qualified states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting is required.
• Minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops detailed understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes and stakeholders.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses requested by leadership.
• Keeps updated on FASB/SEC/PCAOB changes affecting accounting practices.
