Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer with deep Lean expertise to join our client’s team in a fully remote capacity in the United States. You will drive continuous improvement, coach teams virtually, and apply Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping to boost performance across multiple business units.

You will lead remote Kaizen events, develop VSMs, deploy lean tools (5S, Kanban, SMED, Poka-Yoke), analyze data, and create dashboards to track KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering with Lean focus.
• Proven Lean transformations, cost savings, and efficiency gains.
• Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred, Six Sigma expertise.
• Strong analytical, remote communication, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work independently and influence remotely.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate remote Kaizen events and continuous improvement workshops to identify and eliminate waste.
• Develop and deploy Value Stream Maps (VSMs) for key processes to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
• Implement and train teams on Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques, including 5S, Kanban, SMED, and Poka-Yoke.
• Analyze operational data to quantify waste and measure the impact of Lean initiatives.
• Develop standardized work procedures and best practices for processes across different departments.
• Coach and mentor plant personnel and management on Lean principles and their application.
• Drive the implementation of Six Sigma projects, focusing on data-driven problem-solving and process control.
• Create dashboards and reports to track Lean KPIs and communicate progress on improvement initiatives to stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of the latest Lean Manufacturing trends and best practices, recommending adoption where applicable.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement in problem-solving remotely.
