Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer for a primarily remote role with occasional travel to sites in Southern Africa. You will analyze processes, identify waste, and implement lean and Six Sigma solutions to boost productivity and reduce costs.

You will lead data-driven projects, develop business cases, and partner with site managers to standardize best practices. A Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering and 5+ years of experience, with Green/Black Belt, are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years in industrial engineering focusing on efficiency and cost reduction.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with Excel and Minitab.
Excellent problem solving and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Analyze workflows, production processes, and resource use across units.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, waste elimination, and efficiency gains.
Lead lean manufacturing and Six Sigma projects.
Use data analysis and modeling to quantify savings and gains.
Develop and present business cases to senior management.
Collaborate with site managers to implement changes.
Develop and standardize operational best practices.
Monitor performance and ensure sustained improvements.
Provide training on efficiency methodologies.
Stay current with industry trends in operational excellence.
