Job summary

DMS International is seeking an Instructor/Facilitator for our learning services team to develop training materials, tailor classes, and deliver standard and customized leadership development courses. This consultant role supports both traditional and virtual delivery to a national audience.

The ideal candidate has MA/MS in a relevant field, 3–5 years as a facilitator, 5 years in a managerial role, and experience in federal agencies is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience as a facilitator in a formal traditional or virtual training environment.
• Expertise in facilitation of learning and transfer of job-related knowledge.
• Highly experienced in motivating learners and engaging a variety of learning techniques for context-specific learning.
• Five years of experience as a manager or supervisor.
• Experience as a manager in federal agencies highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers assigned courses (both traditional and virtual).
• Maintains and revises course materials as required.
• Certifies in courses according to course certification plan.
• Maintains extensive knowledge of current management practices, training approaches, and organizational activities.
• Participates as a team member and conducts classroom administration.
• Engages students and applies adult learning theory to delivery.
• Travels as required to deliver instruction.
