ABB is seeking a Protection & Control Engineer to lead engineering activities for substation protection and control systems, delivering cost‑effective designs with adherence to standards.

You will develop schematics, BOMs, and analyses, coordinate with project teams, and ensure safety across disciplines. Remote position with preference for Northern California candidates; PE California and US work authorization required.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of experience in protection & control projects for utility customers.
• Ability to read and apply electrical one‑lines, schematics, and manuals.
• PE License in California is required.
• Candidates must have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and support engineering design activities for substation protection & control/automation systems.
• Develop engineering documentation and analyses to support design.
• Manage project materials, design packages, and issue resolution with project teams.
• Ensure adherence to safety, standards, and customer requirements.
