ABB is seeking a Protection & Control Engineer to serve as the technical lead for engineering activities in assignments. This remote role prefers candidates in Northern California and involves leading design for substations protection & control systems with cross-functional teams.

You will develop documentation, manage materials, and ensure safety and standards compliance while supporting project teams and customers. This role requires a PE license in California and US work authorization.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• 5+ years' experience in protection & control projects for utility customers.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply electrical one-lines, schematics, and manuals.
• Proficient software: EasyPower, SKM Powertools, ETAP, Aspen, EMTP.
• PE license in California required.
• Candidates must have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and support engineering design activities for new and existing substations protection & control/automation systems, including planning and execution.
• Develop engineering documentation and analyses (schematics, logic diagrams, layouts, BOMs, reports) to support compliant designs.
• Manage project materials, design packages, and technical issue resolution with project teams and customers.
• Ensure adherence to safety, industry standards, and company/customer requirements while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
