ABB is seeking a Protection & Control Engineer to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities on projects, ensuring multi‑discipline integration and cost‑effective design. This is a full‑remote role with a preference for candidates located in the Northern California area.

Responsibilities include leading design for substation protection and control/automation systems, developing diagrams and BOMs, managing project materials and issue resolution, and ensuring safety and standards

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in protection & control projects for utility customers.
• Ability to read, correctly interpret, and apply electrical one‑lines, schematics, and instruction manuals.

Aufgaben

• Lead design activities for protection & control systems across substation projects.
• Develop schematics, logic diagrams, layouts, BOMs, and reports.
• Manage materials, design packages, and technical issue resolution.
• Ensure safety, standards compliance, and cross‑disciplinary collaboration.
