Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Substation Project Engineer in the United States to join a design team of engineers, designers, and CAD technicians. The role involves executing substation physical and P&C design projects, ensuring quality and adherence to client standards, and supporting the full project lifecycle.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 4+ years of related experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with 4+ years of substation design experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with internal teams and clients to meet project needs.
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Execute both substation physical and P&C design projects.
• Read and design substation drawings such as one-line, three-line, schematics, wiring, plan-section, conduit and grounding drawings.
• Create and check bill of materials for substation physical and P&C.
• Create and check estimates and schedules for various projects.
• Provide complete project lifecycle support from scoping to final design and implementation.
