Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Substation Engineer in the U.S. Midwest region to join the Power Delivery Services team. The role requires coordinating substation design projects, producing detailed electrical drawings, and ensuring compliance with design standards and codes.

Travel to customer sites and occasional office collaboration in Walled Lake, MI are expected. Qualified candidates have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 4+ years of related substation design experience (8+ years

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of related substation design experience for Lead level.
• 8+ years for Senior/Principal levels or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute substation physical and P&C projects with quality control checks.
• Read and design substation drawings: one-line, three-line, schematics, wiring.
• Create and check bill of materials for substation designs.
• Support project lifecycle from scoping to final design and implementation.
• Apply National Electrical Safety Code requirements to design processes.
• Collaborate with designers/drafters and clients to meet project needs.
