Job summary

Black Duck Software, Inc. seeks a motivated Lead Sales Engineer to join our Enterprise/Commercial team for the Southeast region, remote.

You will partner with Account Executives to drive new business growth and articulate the value of our SAST, SCA, DAST, and AI-driven security solutions. The role requires deep technical discovery, compelling demonstrations, and the ability to influence both technical buyers and executives across diverse teams, ensuring faster deal velocity and aligned security

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions engineering, or technical pre-sales.
Experience with SAST, SCA, or DAST technologies.
Strong communication skills to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Background in software development or security engineering.

Responsibilities

Support new business sales cycles with Account Executives to drive net-new customer acquisition.
Lead technical discovery sessions, product demonstrations, and proof-of-value engagements.
Position and articulate the value of SAST, SCA, DAST and LLM-based solutions for customer challenges.
Analyze customer environments to design tailored, high-impact security solutions.
Deliver compelling technical presentations to both technical buyers and executives.
Differentiate Black Duck in competitive, net-new sales cycles.
Assist in account planning to expand pipeline and win rates.
Support technical validation and integration discussions in customer DevSecOps environments.
Stay current on application security trends and competitive landscape.
