Job summary

Black Duck Software, Inc. is seeking a motivated Lead Sales Engineer to join our Enterprise / Commercial team in the United States.

You will partner with Account Executives to accelerate new business growth, articulate the value of SAST, SCA, DAST and AI-enabled security solutions, and help customers understand how our platform reduces risk and strengthens DevSecOps. Qualifications

8+ years in sales engineering or technical pre-sales in security or DevSecOps
Strong understanding of application security concepts, vulnerabilities, and testing
Hands-on experience with SAST, SCA, or DAST technologies
Familiarity with AI-based code development tools and workflows
Technical background in software development or security engineering
Exceptional communication skills for diverse audiences
Ability to influence technical decision-makers in early-stage engagements

Responsibilities

Lead technical discovery sessions and product demonstrations for new customers
Partner with Account Executives to develop technical strategies that drive net-new acquisitions
Articulate value of SAST, SCA, DAST and AI-based solutions to customer priorities
Analyze customer environments to design tailored, high-impact security solutions
Support early-stage opportunity shaping by highlighting risks and business impact
Create compelling technical presentations for technical and executive buyers
Differentiate Black Duck in competitive, net-new sales cycles
Contribute to account planning to expand pipeline and win rates
