B&B Concrete is seeking an experienced Reinforcing Steel Estimator/Detailer to join our team remotely. You will become a technical resource for estimating, detailing, and preconstruction activities, helping establish standards and processes across projects.

The ideal candidate has substantial hands-on reinforcing-steel experience and can review drawings to develop reliable cost estimates. Strong communication and independent work skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years reinforcing-steel industry experience.
• Experience estimating reinforcing steel on large projects.
• Experience detailing reinforcing steel or reviewing placing drawings.
• Strong ability to read structural drawings and specifications.

Responsabilités

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
• Develop accurate estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, placing labor, equipment, freight and other project costs.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions based on project conditions.
• Review plans and specifications for scope gaps and constructability concerns.
• Coordinate reinforcing steel with other disciplines and field personnel as needed.
• Assist management in establishing bid strategy and selling price.
