Job summary

Mark43 seeks a Lead Product Designer to own a critical area of the product portfolio. This senior IC role partners with Product and Engineering to define problems worth solving and to drive impact across dispatch, records, analytics, and mobile apps.

You will set direction, lead cross-functional teams from discovery to delivery, and elevate craft through a strong design system and collaboration across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional product design experience, with ownership of shipped software products.
• 5+ years designing complex enterprise SaaS products or similarly sophisticated systems.
• Track record leading design for a substantial product area, with end-to-end delivery.
• Strong product judgment across customer needs, strategy, interaction design, and execution.

Responsibilities

• Set the design direction for a critical product area and create a clear vision.
• Lead discovery through delivery, researching and synthesizing insights with Product and Engineering.
• Balance user needs, technical constraints, and business priorities in design tradeoffs.
• Translate high-stakes workflows for first responders into intuitive, reliable experiences.
• Design across environments and devices, from workstations to mobile apps.
• Contribute to design system improvements and mentor other designers.
• Present product vision and design recommendations to customers and senior leaders.
• Explore how AI and emerging tech can improve public safety workflows.
