Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a Lead Product Designer to own a critical area of our product portfolio. You will partner with Product and Engineering to determine what problems to solve and how to solve them, serving first responders with clear, reliable software.

You’ll guide design from discovery to delivery, lead cross-functional teams, and help shape our design system while working across dispatch, records, analytics, and mobile applications.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional product design experience with ownership on shipped software.

Responsibilities

• Set design direction for a critical product area and create a clear long-term vision.
• Lead initiatives from discovery through delivery, turning ambiguity into a compelling product experience.
• Balance user needs, technical constraints, and business priorities in tradeoffs.
• Work with first responders to translate workflows into reliable experiences.
• Design across devices from dispatch workstations to mobile apps within an ecosystem.
• Contribute to design system and patterns and help other designers handle tough problems.
• Present product visions and design recommendations to customers and senior leaders.
• Explore AI and emerging technologies to improve public safety workflows responsibly.
• Refine interactions in design reviews and ensure edge cases are addressed.
