Job summary

GE Grid Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Power Systems Engineer to conduct comprehensive system studies for grid interconnections and substations. You will perform load flow, short circuit, and dynamic analyses, and coordinate with third-party providers.

The role requires a strong background in power electronics, protection, and high/medium voltage systems, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with focus on power systems and power electronics.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in network or transient studies for energy generation, FACTS, renewables.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform in-depth system studies: load flow, short circuit, LVRT/HVRT, dynamic studies.
• Review/direct 3rd party providers for studies and ensure compliance.
• Assess overall system performance and protective schemes.
• Support design and interconnection planning for grid projects.
