Job summary

Electric Power Engineers is seeking a Power Systems Engineer with 3+ years of experience to lead generation integration and WECC interconnection studies. You will model solar PV, BESS and wind projects, assess grid impacts and optimize interconnection strategies.

Responsibilities include developing PSSE, PSLF and PSCAD models, collaborating with teams and clients, and contributing innovative study approaches. Remote US or Canada location; some travel may occur.

Qualifications

• 3+ years professional experience as a Power Systems Engineer.
• Strong communication and customer focus with ability to explain technical matters clearly.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead Generation Integration and load Interconnection studies within the WECC footprint.
• Identify optimal interconnection strategy based on system impacts and grid capacity.
• Work on interconnection projects including modeling, due diligence, and analysis.
• Create and validate PSSE, PSLF and PSCAD models for renewable generation (Solar PV, BESS, Wind).
• Attend meetings and contribute to knowledge base with innovative study approaches.
