Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Systems to join our fully remote team. You will design, analyze, and optimize complex power distribution networks and energy management systems, collaborating with a geographically dispersed team to deliver sustainable electrical solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems focus, at least six years of relevant experience, proficiency in ETAP, PSS/E, and PSCAD, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a Power Systems focus.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in electrical power system design and analysis.
• Proficiency with power system analysis software (ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD).
• Strong understanding of grid interconnection, protection schemes, and renewable energy technologies.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for virtual teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze electrical power system designs, including load flow, short-circuit, and protection studies.
• Design and specify components for high-/medium-voltage distribution systems, substations, and renewable energy integration.
• Create detailed technical documentation, including schematics and single-line diagrams.
• Collaborate effectively with remote team members using project management and communications tools.
• Ensure designs comply with international and local electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for power system installations and operations.
