Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Power System Engineer in the Boston area to perform in-depth power system studies for EHV/HV substations, including transient and dynamic analyses. You will guide study scope, manage third-party providers, and communicate results to project teams and customers.

The role requires strong technical communication, travel up to 20%, and a background in electrical power systems with license/advanced degree as a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with power systems specialization.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in network or transient studies for electric-energy generation / FACTS / renewables or inverter-based power systems.
• Experience with offshore wind, industrial, utility substations and grid interconnects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead system studies including load flow, short circuit, and transient analysis.
• Review scopes and coordinate with third-party providers to ensure study deliverables.
• Produce clear technical reports and present findings to customers and project teams.
