Job summary

Oscar Health, Inc. is hiring a Lead Physician for the Virtual Health Assessment team in a remote-capable role. The position oversees APPs and delivers care to Oscar members via telemedicine, reporting to the Director of Virtual Health Assessment.

The role requires licensure in good standing and extensive primary care experience. We offer a full-time schedule (Mon-Fri, 8-hour shifts) with occasional late shifts and quarterly weekend work, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have full practice licensure in good standing in Florida.
• Completion of medical residency program; specialty in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Medicine-Pediatrics required.
• MD or DO from an ACGME accredited medical school.
• ABMS Board Certification corresponding to completed residency program or additional training.
• 5+ years of primary care experience.
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in GA, TX, FL or IMLCC.
• Experience in NP and PA supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct high quality, safe patient care via telemedicine while working with a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide supervision to APPs delivering care in a virtual environment.
• Clinical escalation point for the care delivery team as needed.
• Support development of clinical guidelines and continuous improvement of care model.
• Conduct quality assurance audits and ensure patient safety culture.
• Be accountable for quality of care and superior member experience.
• Manage growth and development of your team including addressing poor performance.
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
