Job summary

Oscar Health, Inc. is seeking a Lead Physician to join our Virtual Health Assessment team in a remote role. You will oversee a multidisciplinary group of physicians, APPs, RNs and MAs delivering care via telemedicine and contribute to Oscar’s strategic initiatives.

You will report to the Director of Virtual Health Assessment. The position offers a full-time schedule with occasional late shifts or weekend coverage and is open to multiple states, including Nevada.

Qualifications

• Active medical license in good standing.
• Board-certified in ABMS specialty relevant to residency.
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Residency completed in IM/FM/Med-Peds.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemedicine care to a patient panel with a multidisciplinary team.
• Supervise APPs (NPs and PAs) delivering care in a virtual environment.
• Serve as clinical escalation point for the care delivery team.
• Develop clinical guidelines and continuously improve care models.
• Conduct quality assurance audits and state supervisory audits as required.
• Ensure a culture of patient safety and superior member experience.
• Lead team development and address underperformance and other duties as assigned.
