Job summary

Oscar Health, Inc. is seeking a Lead Physician for its Virtual Health Assessment team. The role is remote and supports Oscar’s multi-state patient population through telemedicine, overseeing APPs and coordinating care in a multidisciplinary setting.

You will report to the Director of Virtual Health Assessment and oversee clinical operations, quality improvement, and policy implementation in a fast-paced virtual environment.

Qualifications

• Board certification in corresponding specialty (ABMS)
• Completion of medical residency program in relevant field
• Active, unrestricted medical license in applicable states

Responsibilities

• Provide direct high-quality telemedicine-based patient care within a multidisciplinary team
• Supervise APPs delivering care in a virtual environment and support clinical growth
• Serve as clinical escalation point for care delivery team
• Contribute to development of clinical guidelines and care model improvements
• Conduct quality assurance audits and ensure patient safety and high-quality care
• Lead and develop the supervising team and manage performance issues
• Collaborate with Operations and Product teams on clinical initiatives
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Education

MD or DO from an ACGME accredited medical school

Residency in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Medicine-Pediatrics
