Job summary

Oscar Health is seeking a Lead Physician to join our Virtual Health Assessment team. You will oversee APPs and provide high-quality telemedicine care to a panel of patients in a remote setting.

Reporting to the Director of Virtual Health Assessment, you will drive clinical guidelines, supervise clinicians, and collaborate with Operations and Product teams to advance our care model and patient safety while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Active medical license in good standing in Florida and at least three of the listed states (AZ, AR, CA, CO, DC, GA, IL, MA, MI, NV, NH, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, TX, VA).
• Residency completed in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Medicine-Pediatrics.
• MD or DO from an ACGME-accredited medical school.
• ABMS board certification in specialty or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Provide telemedicine patient care via a multidisciplinary team.
• Supervise APPs (NPs and PAs) in a virtual setting.
• Clinical escalation point for care delivery.
• Develop clinical guidelines and improve care models.
• Conduct quality assurance audits.
• Uphold patient safety culture.
• Ensure high-quality care and superior member experience.
• Manage team growth and performance.
• Collaborate with Operations and Product teams.
