Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced leader for the Mid-Revenue Cycle to drive operational leadership and performance across coding and denial management. You will oversee daily operations, collaborate with clinical, IT, and compliance teams, and ensure data-driven improvements with robust KPI tracking.

The role requires 8+ years in mid-revenue cycle operations and 2+ years in leadership within a large healthcare system, with RHIA/AAPC/AHIMA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in mid-revenue cycle operations, coding, or HIM.
• 2+ years of leadership experience in a large integrated healthcare system.
• Coding Certification issued by AAPC or AHIMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations within the assigned function area, aligning with enterprise goals.
• Evaluate processes to improve efficiency and support standardized best practices across the Mid-Revenue Cycle.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and confidentiality of patient records; report non-compliance.
• Use KPIs to measure effectiveness and drive data-driven improvements.
• Leverage healthcare technology and analytics tools to boost efficiency and decision-making.
• Engage with clinical, IT, Compliance, and Revenue Cycle leaders to align goals and promote patient safety.
• Manage and develop a team through HR processes, training, and performance reviews.
• Lead initiatives to improve operational effectiveness and drive system enhancements.
