Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a senior leader for the Enterprise Revenue Cycle's Integrity Operations: Facility Coding Denials. The role requires directing daily operations, ensuring compliance with coding standards, and driving efficiency across the mid-revenue cycle.

A bachelor’s in health information management or related field is required, with 8+ years in mid-revenue cycle operations and 2+ years of leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in mid-revenue cycle operations, coding, or HIM.
• 2+ years of leadership experience in a large integrated healthcare system.
• Bachelor’s degree in health information management, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Coding Certification (AAPC or AHIMA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations within the assigned function area aligning with enterprise goals.
• Evaluate processes to improve efficiency and standardize best practices across the Mid-Revenue Cycle.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and confidentiality of patient records; report non-compliance.
• Use KPIs to measure effectiveness and drive data-driven improvements.
• Leverage healthcare technology and analytics to enhance efficiency and decision-making.
• Engage with clinical, IT, Compliance, and Revenue Cycle leaders to drive alignment and patient safety.
• Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing, financially responsible team.
• Lead strategic initiatives and system enhancements across the function.
