Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team and solve complex problems in electric transmission. You will lead design projects for HV overhead and underground systems from 46kV to 345 kV, applying NESC and ASCE standards, performing analyses, and drafting documents.

This is a 100% remote role based in Michigan's Lower Peninsula with occasional site visits across the client’s service territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 8+ years of electric utility transmission design experience.
• Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC and ASCE code requirements; ability to prepare project packages.
• Ability to develop project scopes, budgets and proposals; work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission line design projects for 46kV–345kV HV systems.
• Apply standards and prepare bidding docs, plans, specs, procurement and construction docs.
• Interface with clients, project planning, environmental and construction teams.
