Job summary

Leidos seeks a Lead Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team on electric transmission projects from 46kV to 345kV, delivering design work for overhead and underground systems. You will apply NESC, ASCE, ACI standards and prepare bidding documents, plans, specifications, procurement, and construction packages, interfacing with clients and internal teams.

This 100% REMOTE role supports Michigan's Lower Peninsula with regular site visits across the client’s territory; candidates in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and minimum of eight years of experience in electric transmission design
• Experience reviewing full transmission line designs including PLS-CADD models and construction packages
• Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE code requirements; material procurement and project schedules
• Develop project scopes, budgets and proposals
• Able to work in a team and independently and communicate with clients
• Travel may be required; program expertise includes PLS-CADD, POLE, LPILE, FAD Tools, Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Design HV overhead and underground transmission lines from 46 kV to 345 kV
• Prepare bidding documents, draft plans and specifications
• Prepare material procurement and construction documents
• Interface with clients, project planning, environmental permitting and construction management
• Collaborate with Leidos team and ensure project milestones are met
