Leidos seeks a Lead Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team solving challenging problems in electric transmission. You will design HV overhead and underground systems from 46kV to 345kV for a major electric utility, applying NESC, ASCE, ACI, and other standards.

Responsibilities include engineering analyses, bidding documents, plans and specifications, material procurement, and construction documents; travel to client sites; remote work from Michigan's Lower Peninsula.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 8+ years of experience in electric utility transmission design.
• Experience reviewing full transmission line designs including PLS-CADD models and construction packages.
• Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE code requirements; material procurement processes.
• Ability to develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
• Strong communication and teamwork; able to travel to client sites as needed.

Responsabilités

• Design HV transmission line systems from 46kV to 345kV, including overhead and underground.
• Prepare bidding documents, plans and specifications.
• Prepare material procurement and construction documents.
• Interface with clients, project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management teams.
