Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Lead Engineer 1 - Thermal Dynamics to provide analytical modeling for the systems engineering team, leading thermal analysis, model development, and verification efforts across projects.

The role requires deep expertise in thermal-fluid sciences, system modeling, and collaboration with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure performance requirements are met and documented for production transition.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of thermal fluids including heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
• Experience with thermal fluid systems modeling and nonlinear solvers.
• Experience with requirements management and verification/validation methodologies.
• Strong collaboration with systems engineering and other teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist systems engineer in developing program architecture and technical approaches for thermal and controls analysis.
• Identify and manage technical risks related to thermal performance.
• Serve as technical lead for modeling and analysis and coordinate activities with other engineering groups.
• Provide engineering support for testing development, validation and documentation.
