Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Lead Engineer 1 - Thermal Dynamics to provide analytical modeling for system architecture and performance requirements compliance. You will lead thermal modeling efforts, manage technical risks, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.

The role supports remote or on-site work in St. George, Utah, with opportunities for collaboration across disciplines and with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8–10 years of relevant experience (MS/PhD considered).
• Deep expertise in thermal-fluid sciences: fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer.
• Experience with thermal-fluid systems analysis and modeling.
• Coding/scripting in MATLAB/Simulink or Python.

Responsibilities

• Assist Systems Engineer in developing system architecture and technical approaches including thermal and controls analysis.
• Identify and manage technical risks related to thermal performance.
• Lead modeling and analysis, set clear objectives, coordinate activities across engineering groups.
• Ensure successful execution of modeling, analysis, and testing for programs.
