Job summary

GE Aerospace in the United States is seeking a Lead Engineer 1 - Thermal Dynamics to provide analytical modeling capabilities for the systems engineering team and to lead thermal modeling and analysis efforts across programs.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team on system architecture development, requirements compliance assessment, data interpretation, and model creation and maintenance of libraries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8–10 years of relevant aerospace experience.
• Knowledge of requirements management, verification and validation methodologies.
• Expertise in thermal fluids including fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.
• Experience with thermal fluid systems modeling and nonlinear solvers.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink or Python for modeling.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 and DO-160 environmental tests.
• Basic NX CAD experience and understanding of aircraft systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop system architecture and technical approach for thermal and controls analysis.
• Lead modeling, analysis, and testing activities with cross-functional teams.
