Progressive Leasing is seeking a Lead Engineer - Full-Stack (Remote) to own the architecture and delivery of full-stack solutions, guiding a distributed team and driving technical strategy aligned with product goals across web and API layers.

You will mentor engineers across time zones, advance AI-first practices, and ensure high-quality, secure, accessible software while delivering features end-to-end in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience; 5+ years in full-stack
• Strong OO design and architecture for UI and API
• Experience with AI-native development and cross-browser, responsive UI

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, quality, and delivery of the Angular app and APIs/services
• Define coding standards and drive best practices across web and mobile
• Lead roadmap decisions aligned with product goals and timelines
• Provide architecture guidance from UI to backend contracts and LLM integration
• Mentor distributed engineers across time zones; review code and diagnose issues
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and backend teams in Agile
• Contribute to hiring and set expectations for full-time and contractor staff
• Ensure observability, logging, testing, and production support practices
