Job summary

Progressive Leasing is seeking a hands-on Lead Full Stack Developer to drive end-to-end delivery across backend APIs, services, and React UIs. You will be a hands-on leader coding daily and mentoring others while aligning with lease-to-own business goals.

You will work with C#/.NET or Java/Spring Boot on Kubernetes (AWS EKS), and React/TypeScript frontends, leveraging AI coding tools to accelerate development and automate toil.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, hands-on across frontend and backend.
• Expertise in React (TypeScript) and one backend stack (C#/.NET or Java/Spring).
• Proficiency with cloud-native deployment and AI coding tools.

Responsibilities

• Write and ship production code across the full stack — backend services, APIs, and frontend UIs.
• Own technical decisions across a multi-service backend platform (C#/.NET and Java/Spring Boot) deployed on Kubernetes (AWS EKS) and the React/TypeScript frontends.
• Build and maintain frontend UI components and views using React and TypeScript, integrating with backend services.
• Ensure end-to-end quality from API contract to browser behavior — own the delivery chain.
• Use AI coding assistants daily to write, review, and ship code faster and with higher quality.
• Build and champion internal AI-driven tooling and automation that reduces manual toil.
• Design and drive cross-service initiatives spanning multiple codebases.
• Learn lease-to-own business details to align tech tradeoffs with business impact.
• Collaborate in cross-discipline teams and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to evaluations of new software and AI capabilities.
• Participate in production support: deployments, incident response, root-cause analysis.
