Job summary

Progressive Leasing is seeking a Lead Engineer - Full-Stack (Remote) to own architecture and delivery of full-stack solutions, guiding a distributed engineering team, and driving technical strategy across web and API layers. This role can be performed remotely from anywhere in the continental US or from the Draper, Utah office.

You will lead with technical depth, mentor engineers across time zones, and deliver high-scale solutions with a focus on performance, security, and accessibility.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience with 5+ years in full-stack
• Experience with AI-first engineering and AI tools like Claude and Co-Pilot
• Strong OO design and ability to architect both UI and API layers
• Proven full-stack capability including BFF/API layers
• Experience with cross-browser and mobile responsive UI
• Experience leading distributed teams and working in Agile environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD and open-source technologies

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, quality, and delivery of the Angular app and related APIs/services
• Define coding standards and drive best practices across web/mobile and AI-enhanced features
• Guide technical roadmap decisions aligned with product goals
• Lead code reviews and root-cause analysis of production issues
• Mentor and lead distributed teams across time zones
• Contribute to hiring and interview processes
• Ensure observability, logging, and security are baked in from the start
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and backend teams in Agile sprints
