Job summary

Progressive Leasing is actively seeking a Lead Engineer - Full-Stack (Remote) to own the architecture and delivery of complex web and API solutions. You will guide a distributed team across time zones, shape technical strategy, and ensure scalable, secure software from UI through backend services and AI integrations.

You will mentor engineers, drive CI/CD practices, and collaborate with product, design, QA, and backend teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on full-stack development.
• Experience with AI-first engineering and usage of Claude, Co-Pilot, and other tools.
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented Design principles, and how to properly architect both a UI and an API.
• Proven full-stack capability - comfortable owning or collaborating on BFF / API layers.
• Extensive experience with cross-browser and cross-platform development including mobile and responsive UI.
• Experience developing and architecting high-transaction, high-throughput systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams across time zones with accountability.
• Excellent problem-solving skills; meticulous, methodical, and able to translate complex requirements.
• Experience with CI/CD, Agile methodologies, and open-source technologies.
• Preferred experience with LLM / AI-native development patterns and integrating AI-powered features.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, quality, and delivery of the Angular application and related APIs/services.
• Define and enforce coding standards, patterns, and best practices across mobile and full-stack development; drive AI-first mindset.
• Drive technical roadmap decisions aligned with product goals and timelines.
• Lead code reviews and root-cause analyses of production issues.
• Mentor engineers across time zones and influence architectural direction in agile teams.
• Ensure end-to-end delivery of web features from scoping to production monitoring.
