Job summary

RXO Inc. is seeking a Last Mile Operations Manager to oversee contract carrier operations and optimize routes from our remote Maryland location. You will mentor staff, conduct hiring and disciplinary actions, ensure policy compliance, and leverage route planning software to deliver efficient delivery networks.

The role requires strengthening carrier relationships, supervising dispatchers, and driving improvements to meet customer expectations while traveling between branches as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related logistics and supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of contract carriers and schedules.
• Develop and mentor staff to meet goals and train on policies.
• Hire, interview, and resolve staff issues; ensure compliance with policies.
• Supervise employees and manage performance, discipline, and staffing.
• Use route planning software to build efficient delivery routes.
• Dispatch contract carriers and resolve day‑to‑day issues.
• Identify improvements to routes and operational efficiency.
• Train carriers and dispatchers to meet customer expectations.
