RXO, Inc. is seeking a Last Mile Operations Manager in Maryland to lead daily operations of contract carriers, plan routes, monitor performance, and build strong carrier relationships. You’ll supervise staff and ensure safety and compliance.

The role requires 5 years of logistics and supervisory experience, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred. Compensation is $70,000–$80,000 annually, with possible bonus or commission, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related logistics and supervisory experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook/Excel).
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of contract carriers, including maintaining schedules, monitoring routes, reporting, and fostering positive relationships.
• Develop and mentor staff; train on company policies and procedures.
• Carry out managerial duties including interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and resolving issues.
• Ensure compliance with corporate warehouse policies, procedures, and programs.
• Supervise employees per policies; manage performance, rewards, and discipline.
• Use route planning software to build efficient delivery routes.
• Manage dispatch of contract carriers and resolve issues throughout the day.
• Identify problem areas and restructure routes to improve efficiency.
• Train and develop carriers and dispatchers to meet customer expectations.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and within established time frames.
• Take photos for every job and allocate resources as needed.
