Job summary

RXO, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Last Mile Operations to lead daily freight activities, plan routes with dispatch software, and ensure on-time delivery for customers across North America. You will supervise contract carriers and staff, hire and train team members, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, policy compliance, and the continuous improvement of routing efficiency while maintaining safety and service quality across branches.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related logistics and supervisory experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of contract carriers, including maintaining schedules and routes.
• Develop and mentor staff to reach goals; train on company policies and procedures.
• Carry out managerial responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and resolving issues.
• Ensure compliance with corporate warehouse policies and programs.
• Supervise employees in accordance with policies and laws, including performance appraisals.
• Use route planning software to build efficient delivery routes.
• Dispatch contract carriers and resolve issues throughout the day.
• Identify problem areas and restructure routes to improve efficiency.
• Train and develop contract carriers and dispatchers to meet customer expectations.
• Ensure work is completed accurately within established time frames.
