Job summary

RXO, Inc. in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Last Mile Operations Manager to oversee daily operations of contract carriers, route planning, and team development. You will manage dispatch, monitor routes, ensure schedules, and build strong relationships with carriers and helpers.

This role requires 5 years of logistics and supervisory experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and willingness to work varied shifts. Bachelor’s in business or logistics is preferred; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related logistics and supervisory experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of contract carriers, including maintaining contractor schedules and routes.
• Develop and mentor staff; train on policies and procedures.
• Carry out managerial duties including hiring, interviewing, and resolving issues.
• Ensure compliance with warehouse policies and programs.
• Use route planning software to build efficient delivery routes.
• Manage dispatch of contract carriers and resolve issues throughout the day.
• Identify problem areas and restructure routes to improve efficiency.
• Train contract carriers and dispatchers to meet customer expectations.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and within time frames.
