Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Labour Relations Specialist for a fully remote role in the United States. You will manage employee relations, advise on disciplinary procedures, and oversee collective bargaining to promote a fair and productive work environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Labour Relations or HR, with knowledge of the Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and related legislation, plus strong mediation and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in Labour Relations or HR with a focus on industrial relations.
• Knowledge of Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and related legislation.
• Experience in mediation/arbitration and dispute resolution.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee grievances and disciplinary issues per policy and labour law.
• Advise management on best practices for labour relations and compliance.
• Facilitate collective bargaining with trade unions.
• Develop and implement HR policies related to employee conduct and engagement.
• Conduct workplace investigations and recommend actions.
• Promote positive workplace culture through effective communication.
