Job summary

Mixlab is hiring a Care/Compounding Pharmacist to support veterinarians and pet parents from a home lab and from the lab bench. This hybrid role combines remote care duties with hands-on compounding, verification, and supervision in person.

You’ll split time roughly 40% on Care and 60% in Lab, with evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis. Excellent communication and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in California in good standing.
• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses within 6 months.
• Residence within commuting distance to Mixlab labs.
• Strong attention to detail and high quality standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Care: communicate with veterinarians and clients to process prescriptions on time.
• Handle calls, emails, and messages; provide order status updates.
• Enter prescriptions into the proprietary workflow system with accuracy.
• Compound and verify nonsterile medications following SOPs.
• Supervise technicians and perform final medication checks.
