Job summary

Mixlab, the first modern pet pharmacy, is hiring a Care/Compounding Pharmacist in New York. This hybrid role blends remote care with hands-on compounding in lab, delivering quality medications and tailored support to veterinarians and pet parents.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in home state (NY/FL/CA/WI/TX) in good standing
• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses within 6 months
• Residence within commuting distance to a Mixlab lab and able to work on site ~3 days per week
• Impeccable attention to detail with strong accuracy and quality
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to stay calm under pressure

Responsibilities

• Care (remote): communicate with veterinarians and clients to ensure timely prescriptions
• Handle calls, emails, and messages; enter orders with high accuracy
• Counsel clients on medications and administrations; monitor requests in CRM
• Bridge clinical questions between care teams and labs; support scheduling and delivery
• Compounding: perform nonsterile compounding, weigh/measure medications, ensure QA and compliance
• Supervise technicians and verify final compounded orders in the lab
• Across both: ensure regulatory compliance and uphold Mixlab values
