Job summary

Mixlab, a fast-growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, seeks a Care/Compounding Pharmacist for a hybrid role split between remote Care support and on-site lab work. You will manage prescriptions, counsel veterinarians and pet parents, and supervise technicians while ensuring high quality compounding and regulatory compliance.

You will work approximately 3 days per week at your home lab and the remaining days remotely on Care, with in-person days scheduled by lab leadership.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in home state (TX preferred) or ability to obtain Texas license
• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses within 6 months as needed
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Impeccable attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new software and platforms
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Care (remote): communicate with veterinarians and clients to process prescriptions and provide updates
• Handle calls, emails, and texts; enter orders with high accuracy
• Counsel clients on medications and instructions; monitor CRM for requests
• Coordinate with vets and practices to obtain needed information
• Lab: compound and verify medications; supervise technicians; perform final checks
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements; quality assurance across the lab
