Job summary

Mixlab, the fast-growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, seeks a Care/Compounding Pharmacist to support veterinarians and pet parents remotely and at our lab locations. You will enjoy a hybrid schedule with care and compounding duties, ensuring accuracy and quality in every prescription.

You will counsel clients, process prescriptions, and supervise technicians while maintaining regulatory compliance. This role demands strong communication and meticulous attention to detail, with flexibility

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in WI in good standing.
• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses within 6 months.
• Residence within commuting distance to a lab and able to work on site ~3 days/week.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to learn new software quickly.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Care (remote): Communicate with veterinarians and clients to process prescriptions and provide order updates.
• Handle calls, emails, and texts from veterinarians and practice staff; enter orders with accuracy.
• Counsel clients on medications, administration, and instructions; ensure timely deliveries.
• Care: monitor CRM and respond to prescriber and client requests within SLAs.
• Compounding (in person): compound and verify medications following SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and perform final checks on compounded medications for accuracy and quality.
