Job summary

NANA Management Services is hiring for a Remote Kitchen Helper to maintain sanitation standards and assist in food preparation in remote camp locations across Alaska. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen or housekeeping, plus the Alaska Food Workers Card/ServSafe.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in a commercial kitchen or documented vocational training.
• At least 1 year in commercial housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation standards in kitchen, storeroom, dining and service areas.
• Assist cooks and coordinate activities within a food service area.
• Prepare and cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats, etc.
• Stock food service areas and materials; clean dishes and equipment.
• Clean, sweep, mop, and restock floors and areas; dispose of trash.
• Ensure safety and sanitation standards are met and report any issues.
