Job summary

NANA Management Services is hiring for a Remote Kitchen Helper to maintain sanitation, assist cooks, and support food service operations in remote camp locations in Alaska. The role involves cleaning, stocking, food prep, and general duties across kitchen, storeroom, dining, and service areas.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year in a commercial kitchen or related training, and Alaska Food Workers Card/ServSafe certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of work experience in a commercial kitchen or related training.
• At least one year of work experience in commercial housekeeping.
• Alaska Food Workers Card or ServSafe Certification required or obtainable on hire.
• Must pass pre-employment requirements including drug test, physical, fit-for-duty assessment and hearing test.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks and coordinate activities within the food service area.
• Prepare food and cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats, etc.
• Stock food service areas with products and materials.
• Clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans and storage areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and restock floors and hallways.
• Ensure safety and sanitation standards are met and report issues.
